Shedar is the brightest star in the constellation of Cassiopeia. Visible especially on starry autumn nights, its name derives from an Arabic word meaning bust: like that of the vain Cassiopeia, the Greek myth represented sitting down with a mirror in hand, intent on sprucing up her hair. In tune with the natural melancholy of the D minor scale, Shedar gives body to an extraordinary harmonic spectrum, both mystical and contemplative: eleven notes arranged on top, two on the bottom. A powerful prism of sound tracks, passing through the darkness like a beam of light.

  • Avoid shocks and damage.
  • Avoid exposure to sunlight.
  • Avoid contact with water or liquids in order to prevent rusting.
  • Play your Battiloro Handpan exclusively with your hands, and wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth after use.
  • In order to protect the surface, apply a lubricant oil once a month. We suggest Ballistol spray.

Our parcels come with international tracking service and full package insurance included. We take extra care in making the journey safe for your Battiloro Handpan, and we carefully pack each instrument with special FOAM acoustic panels, providing excellent cushioning and protection.

Name of a person with a thousand spiritual resonances, Demyan comes from an ancient Greek root that means "he who tames". It spread to the Christian East with its Latin variant, thanks to the work of St Damian, the holy healer who worked without asking for anything in return. The same generous musical magnificence shines in the expressive possibilities of Demyan, which houses nine notes on the top of the instrument and five on the bottom.
